Common folks would say, “Why the messenger appears sour faced and unpleasing?” The elect would say, “Oh People! Come down from the pear tree! To your eyes, he appears to be sour faced! But, come for once and see him through our eyes, so you may behold delight and laughter! ” That pear tree is a tree of Egoism…while you remain on top of that tree, you only see a thorn-yard, full of scorpions and snakes of anger…If you come down from that tree, your thoughts, eyes, and words, will no more be awry…you will see freely, a world filled with beauties and guardians…because of this humbleness shown by you in lowering yourself, God will bestow on your eyes, true vision
